Eye Candy

Two main missions in my life are to:  1) Feed my Twinner Boys and 2) photographically record these dear blue eyes.   #1 is going alright thanks to great exemplary cook examples, and here’s the latest of #2.



Here, look closer.  Sacred as a Church’s stained glass window, yummy as a blueberry Jolly Ranchers candy.   And look! There’s my silhouette smack dab  in the center!  I love photography - it's so . . . full of suprises.

Significant Look

Admittedly, every adorable, sloppy mouth, goobery look an adorable, sloppy mouthed, goobery boy offers is significant.  THIS one, however, was the first direct, back-atcha look I captured with my camera since Casen’s beanie was surgically manipulated.  No more sidelong, flitting glances, or shifty, vague focusing.
Today’s  gratitude:  A look from a childs eyes - long, direct, deep, recognizing, focused, full of curiosity, humor, interest, and love.  Certainly a case where the little things are BIG after all.

Something SWEET  about SUGAR:  Inside Casen’s little beanie was placed some hardware made from sugar.   Hard enough to be trusted to hold, yet able to dissolve away quietly and without fanfare when the job is done.  Yay for sugar!  I must eat some with the twins to celebrate this Unsung Hero.   But not in the form of screws and plates.  I like my sugar SKITTLE -style. (Classic Grape, Cherry, Orange, Lime and Lemon, please.)

Of Primary Importance

Of Primary Children’s Hospital importance that is.  Yesterday was a big day for Casen and his mommy and daddy.  He was to get a New Noggin.  At least a newly shaped one since his head bones fused together before they should have.

Bath and piggy accounting time came before the trip to Primary Children’s Hospital.




 
Anna explains the finer details of the upcoming surgery.  Casen reasurres his mom that he's up to it. (I think that's what he was saying)


It was miles of corridors and millions of signs to read.

This one makes me laugh and cry.  He was so dear and trusting and innocent of everything happening.  Big Kyle said it was a strange feeling to hand him over to a doctor wide-eyed and wondering (Casen, not the Doctor) and then walk the opposite direction . . . to the waiting room.

Waiting, and waiting . . . And several hours later . . .

. . . reunited.






All is well, and went as the doctors expected.  He is in good hands.

A Well-Baby check up DOC-umentary

Last week I got to accompany Anna taking Casen to see Dr. Judy.  I just ‘happened’ to have my camera along.

Healthy eyes – check.

Good movement - Check

.

Great pucker and chubby cheekers – Check.

Belly button, thunder thighs, chubby dimply hands – Check.

Nose – Check.

Back and tummy – Check.

Great gummers with no teeth – check.

Mouth – Check

Immunizations still hurt – Check and dang-it!
  
Diagnosis – Casen is in the eightieth percentile on The Chart (?) – Check.

  Overall, thru and thru Cute – Off the Charts!  like every tiny boy and girl that comes to this world– Check!

A visit from Anna and Casen made our day today!  Here he is bundled up in his car seat ready to make a well-baby check up visit to Dr. Judy.
