An unusual and fabulous Sabbath Day! We left home at 6:00 to get to Music and the Spoken Word at the Conference Center. Special Guest Laura O? performed “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. She skipped the first verse and went right into “ . . . skies are blue . . .” for the first verse. Lloyd K Newel stumbled over a word, and both of them did a retake. Beautiful fun.
We spotted good friend Dr. Keith Willmore top row, third from end. He was one of the doctors that brought Kyle and Mark into the world. Then we headed to Pioneer Heritage Park.
Anna, Neil, Kyle, Mark is the daughter/son of Lauri Kennington, who is the daughter of AnnaBeth Nebeker, who is the daughter of Lester Nebeker, who is the son of John Nebeker, who is the son of Aaron Nebeker, who is the son of John Nebeker. This John Nebeker is married to Lurena Fitzgerald whose brother is Perry Fitzgerald. So . . . Perry Fitzgerald is my Great, Great, Great Uncle. He was in the first company to enter the Salt Lake Valley with Brigham Young on July 24, 1847.
After This is the Place Monument and finding Perry Fitzgerald’s name, we went to Pres. and Sister Tom and Debbie Morgan’s Sacrament Meeting in Sandy. They have been Mission President in the New York, New York, North mission for the last 3 yrs.
A short visit with Caitlin and Neil. She is announcing her baby coming on Facebook. Both of them got recent haircuts unusually short.
The “Y’'” looked particularly attractive today.
We listened to John Bytheway talks on the way home.
