By day’s end, she just couldn’t muster any more smiles. The pressures of the happy day show on her furrowed brow and sleepy eyes. What’s that saying? You’re cute when you’re angry.
Now, our green-eyed beauty has a blue-eyed one of her own.
One of my favorite children’s book’s is Cynthia Rylant’s The Relatives Came. We had our own version when we all converged at Monticello relatives for Auri’s baby blessing.
But first, on Saturday, Kyle and Anna took us to see Newspaper rock.
We had a picnic lunch at the Hamburger Rocks.
We went home by a scenic way. The clever poles in this picture each have pipes welded to them that tell you exactly what you’re looking at when you look through them. I remember the “Six Shooter” best.
When the priesthood men went to their meeting in the evening we decided to surprise them by BBQ-ing the hamburgers ourselves. (Kristen figured it out for us)
