Joyful Noise

I wish this were an audio/visual post tonight.  Singing and playing for Brother Thomas is one of those rare, wish-everyone-could-have experiences.  And when the selection is “Come Thou Fount” arranged by the Mac Willburg, THEN the ingredients are there for an out of this world joyful noise.  I love this man for his tenacity, passion, faith, kindness and amazing ability to be an instrument for inviting (mmmm, maybe requiring) the Spirit to race deep into everyone’s heart through music.  Thank you.  Thank you.  (I got to play flute with Becky and McKenzie.)

You couldn’t tell by body language, but after he warms the choir up he doesn’t make a sound while directing.  Everyone knows, however, exactly how he wants THEM to sing just by watching the many faces of Brother Thomas:

And there’s Pam in some of these shots – sitting quietly behind him, supporting and loving her Mr. Thomas always.

Wish you could hear them.
