Various and Sundry January

Here’s the New Year Crew.  I got to ‘take them home with me’, but only for a couple days. Wish I could scoop them all up in one big group hug.  Hurry back, kiddos, so we can try that.

Crafters at work.  So pretty and fun were these felt flowers and wreath that ‘almost I was persuaded’ to change my favorite color to purple.

Christmas clean up time.  I wish, wish I had a “before” picture of this buffet Caitlin helped me organize.  Just picture stacks of homeless cards and projects and books and magazines and dishes.  She made short work of it and made it so fun too.  This is now a school center.  Even the binders and their innards are labeled.

This is not my idea of what to do with our only grandson when he comes to visit.  But he decided that Meg’s kennel would be a great place to hang out in, especially if . . .

you can fit inside with your uncle and his lollipop.

Mom’s Eightieth birthday and I only have these two pictures to share.  It’s because I was so excited being with my brothers and sisters and mom that I forgot about manning the camera.  I just enjoyed good food, great company and stories.  I did get one of the Lady.  She has such a meaningful and expressive eyebrow arch.

The twins and I have already enjoyed many cuddle and book reading times under this beautiful new afghan Caitlin’s mother sent.  Thank you, thank you.

Kristen finished table runners for me.  The fabric is so beautiful I just can’t make it so on camera.  Come and eat with us and see it in person, I say!  Thank you Kristen (aka Miss Christmas at our house).

A New Year For:

New Year for: Reams of fresh, unwritten-on lined paper - kinda like days of fresh, unwritten experiences ahead.  Oh! the possibilities.

Bouquets of freshly sharpened pencils, all with their soft, effective erasers at the ready.  Mistakes?  Pshaw!  No problem!

Senior Man TR

I dunno, there’s just something about the indigo of denim, the richness of weathered wood and a handsome young man that my camera just loves.

Your pics are done.  Come and get them and try not to get Senioritis before it’s time.  Good luck, TR, it was a pleasure photographing you.

Summer Glow in January

Taking a break from some seriously manly photo editing (hang on TR, Ben and Josh, your images are coming, and they’re great), I took a little break for some flowers and the prettiest girl and her little guy ever to be.  Can’t wait to see these two yummy people.  She just had another birthday, you know.   She was the New Year Baby in the Mt. Pleasant hospital that wonderful year when she came to us.  Love you Anna.

O Shoot! Another Birthday

When another birthday rolled around for Jay, there was nothing better to do than go shooting, dine on lemon chicken and razzelberry pie.  So we did.

Is it just me?  Or does Aubrey look like Mary must have 2000 Christmases ago?

Mr. Blue Eyes Pays a Visit

Not feeling too well, he and me had a nice long, warm play bath to chase the sniffles, sneezes and coughs and grumps away.  It worked.

A little off-season football just before lunch.  Gosh the holidays are fun.
