Variety of Birds

untitled-2

Mr. and Mrs. Bluebird started moving in several days ago. I’ve been watching closely and seeing the progress of their nest.  It looks fully ready to me except for a lining of feathers.  We had a laugh when one morning we saw a strip of tinsel woven into the nest, and marveled at Mrs. B’s interior decorating and desire for a little bling. The next day when we checked we couldn’t see the bling and Mark speculated that Mr. B had set his foot – err, claw down – “It’s either me or the tinsel, dear!”  This morning I noticed a small candy wrapper and am happy that she’s at her merriment again.

Besides Bluebirds, this morning I also saw: a pair of House Finches who have built a nest high in the pine tree, robins, mourning doves, a sandpiper, sparrows, all just in the little patch of yard on the SE front of our house.

YSA Stake Conference

High res Flowers-3

Saturday morning saw us heading over to Piano Festival for Kyle and Mark’s 9:00 session.  They played in a “Superior” way and I was Room Mother.  Shirley Frischkneckt and Marilyn Halling were our judges.  Aisia (I - sa) and Yuki Inouye (Een – o – way), and Rebekah Bishop were the other piano players.

We started Stake Conference with Elder and Sister Leavitt in Jay’s office with Ham Sandwiches, deviled eggs, and steamed asparagus.

High res Flowers-1

Mark is full of “just kidding’ moments lately.  He had to photo bomb my photo shoot of the beautiful flowers Danon Jones sent us home with.

2015 Spring Recital

Carl Purcell, my favorite artist in water color, does an original each Spring for the program for Nan’s Recital.

untitled-4

Mark and Kyle have worked hard to get ready with their festival pieces.  It’s exciting to see/hear their efforts culminate at this very fine event.  They both have dynamic piano songs.
