When Mom’s family gets together now, it’s usually in a cultural hall or park – we are so big. But for her birthday it’s her kids and their spouses only, so we fit at her house.
Surprise guest. Blaine flew down!
Aaron - Mom always did like you best. (Where does that quote come from?)
Here we have The Thinker, The Texter, The Caller, The Wine Bibber and Pie (Mom’s dessert request)
There’s always something beautiful about Anna. This time her ear ring caught my eye. Karren gave us all a mini-lesson about communication with a funny experience she and Kirk had this Christmas. A true He Thought, She Thought story.
This is a game similar to one we used to call “Gossip” where the first player whispered something in the next person’s ear, and they passed it to the next, and so on. At the end when the last person would say what he thought he heard, it often came out in a ridiculous form of how it began. Same idea here – just with words and drawings. Each person sees only either words (which he needs to try to draw) or pictures (which he needs to interpret in words) We had some serious laughing because of this game. The night before (New Years Eve, in which I was off-camera-duty) was hilarious with the Pilis.
It is always best to begin a New Year laughing, sleeping, partying, eating, at Kristen’s. New Year Shenanigans, I say.
