Tub Twins and a New Sign

It's been a long time since I felt quite so exuberant - or loud - in the tub.
Lookie what Anna brought me! Oh La La! may have deep, special meaning if one says it with the proper intonation while stepping into a shower or bath. It all originated with Aunt Keli who lettered it right into the shower of the newly French-influenced bath she redid. Gorgeous, with a little humor and whimsey.

Anna breezed in for a whirlwind sewing spree. We were getting ready for two baby showers and this was her only chance. They (the sewing projects) turned out so fun. But we can't share them yet for obvious reasons. The element of suprise is always an important part of any successful shower.

Before and Afts

Pretty girl before my editing . . .. . . after my editing . . .
. . . and yet another version.

It's my style! I like my ladies and children glowy and flowy, brightened and lightened. I like my men to be roughened and toughened, scruffered and ruffered, if you know what I mean. I love layers and layers, and textures, and illumination, and colors sometimes muted away, other times blown into fantasy (after all, 'photography' literally means 'drawing with light') Too much fun - I really need to go do the dinner dishes now that it's bedtime.

Cowboy Wedding Cake

This cake may not look cowboy, but everything for this wedding was western, howdy do, especially the groom who wore formal cowboy attire. Wow, it was so fun to create this classic beauty for. The tables next to the cake had a cowboy boot with daisies spilling over the tops.

Photoshop difference

Straight out of the camera . . .
. . . to edited!

Boys will be Boys

I asked the twins to set the table tonight. A rare thing happened - they didn't moan - they didn't complain - they set the table with a flourish I didn't know was in them. I hope the fancy table makes up for the leftovers that will be eaten on this bountiful table. To make it real : I asked them to remove the dirty sock that was by Jay's plate before the picture. Now I wish I hadn't!

Cowboy Gentlemen (Sometimes)

Our cowboys - teeth and all!
Here's a rare shot, all the others were of the twins goofing. I ended up liking the goofing off images the best but decided to post this one.

Mandie and Danny Wedding

I only had a few moments with Mandie and Danny before their party began. I thought taking images of them was going to be all silliness and games, (and there was a little of that), but this was the image I loved the best. Too tender . . . makes me cry . . . sniff, sniff! thank you for letting me take a tiny, lovely moment and capturing it forever.

Wedding cake and Wedding day for Hannah

Too tired to write much - our family reunion was great in SLC, the trip home to set up the cake went without a hitch, the bride was beautiful, the groom handsome, the garden reception colorful, the couple happy. Great day.

It's called bridal lace on the 1st and 3rd tier - hand writing of their names and sweet words like 'eternity' on the 2nd. The cake flavors are: orange creme, milk chocolate, and (gluten-free)white on top. There you go, now I can go to bed. See ya. Zzzz . . .
