This is a plug for my neice Karli who is, at this moment, having a blog popularity contest with her husband. She's good ladies, she's REAL GOOD. So do Karli and yourself a favor and link over to her. Warning: she IS slightly addicting - the projects she does and photos she takes, and the other places she may lead you are great! Don't run, walk, waddle or saunter. . . ZIP!/CLICK over to KARLI's blog. You'll be glad you did.
PS Did I mention urgency is needed? - time is almost up and her husband is real . . . well, he knows what he's doing when it comes to the internet and technology and that sort of thing.

A Great Read Aloud
I think my favorite books are the ones we enjoy together. This one was a quick read with all the essentials:* colorful characters such as 'Hold-Your-Nose-Billy' and 'Prince Brat'
*unusual, challenging, colorful words for little people - words like; flummox, cuff, pish-
posh, cutthroats,
* Humor - ya just wanna laugh sometimes
* Meaningful principles they don't realize they're thinking about like; justice, fairness,
kindness, loyalty, repentance, forgiveness, change, overcoming, perserverance etc.

Ladies Night Out
It was a dark and stormy night . . . but inside was lots of warmth, laughing and creating. We made fondant covered cakes and had a blast. I think we'll start a LNO blog of its own, but for now, here are a few snapshots of the event.
Katie pulled off a stunning basketweave top that a camera just can't do justice to.

A Lasagne Story
It seemed the thing to do - an assembly line for lasagne making. The neighbors just had a new baby, what to fix? Lasagne! I'm going to the city - what to take college nephew and son for a suprise valentine dinner? Yep. What to leave my fellows to eat while I'm gone? mmmm-hmm. And what shall I take for the sisters day out? Of course - a better-than-you-can-get-even-at-Olive-Garden-lasagne. Meet the helpers, they were in a fine, jocular mood:
Now, the secret ingredient that is not so obvious in the picture is the hot Jimmy-Dean sausage that is browned up with hamburger. This priceless tip was divulged by my dear bro-in-law after we had this heavenly entree with their family recently AND after some mild begging.

Some People's Kids!
We just had a marvelous Sabbath day: a very inspiring Stake Conference, big family dinner, Neils final mission interview, College ward meetings (the Twins got to stay at Big Andrews house for that). The T's and I were finally at home (Jay and Neil had a fireside), in our pajamas having crepes (we call them creepies), peaches and cream when the phone rang. It was Anna, and 20 minutes later she and Big Kyle and his newly called-to-the-New-York-mission brother came to join us. We were just ramping up the crepe production when Jay and Neil came home too! We all converged - it was a true Mothers Day. Everyone together. And then . . . well, you can see for yourself what our very spiritual day came to.
