Books I'm reading this month
January reviews: Here's my opinion of what I read* "Bellwether" by Connie Willis - Charming novel, also full offun fad facts like where 'alice blue' and the 'pompadour' came from.* Cliff notes to Shakespeare's "As You Like It" - Skimmed* "The Dangerous Book for Boys" - a keeper for reference
Twin Talk
Mark: During Family Prayer. "Bless Natalie (long pause as he remembers she is no longer serving her mission) . . . to play with her brothers and share." Whew! nice save.

Neil's Chopin (Revolutionary Etude)

This is one of Neil's pieces he's preparing for auditions to BYU's School of Music on Jan. 26th.

Boys!

Since Anna left our home to seek her own fortune with a handsome man named Kyle, I have been the only estrogen-producing person around here. So when I saw these pictures on my nieces blog (after another punch-'em-crash-'em-destroy-the-enemy-day), I felt I could relate. Thanks, Karli! Hers were titled "Why Boys Need Parents". I love my four gents and don't mind being the only woman in their life. Today, I have alternately been "Mommy Bear" or "My Queen" depending on what the twins were playing at the time. Now, if I could figure out how to move pictures and text where I really want it . . .

Winter Wonderland today. We are so glad for the snow - it is beautiful, fun and very much needed. Neil made shoveling look easy before he went to school. But I gave up - twice. Anna came this afternoon after her nursing class to use the computer. She played in the snow with the twins and did her share (and mine) of shoveling. She and Kyle stayed for soup and salad with us. Mark and Kyle even got Big Kyle to play SORRY with them before they left.

Have Your Cake and eat it too.
